Biography and Expertise

My research investigates the impact of digital and emerging technologies on organizations, with a particular focus on the digital transformation of small and medium-sized enterprises. I study how SMEs adopt artificial intelligence and Internet of Things systems, how management information systems evolve to support data-driven decision-making, and how these technologies enable the reengineering of business processes — as well as the cybersecurity risks they introduce. My work bridges academic research and industrial practice through technology transfer projects with companies, drawing on prior applied research on automatic identification systems and on direct field experience in operations, business process reengineering, and digital transformation programs.
