Biography and Expertise

Martina Baglio is an Assistant Professor at LIUC – Università Cattaneo, in the Department of Industrial Engineering. She obtained her Ph.D. in Management, Finance and Accounting from LIUC – Università Cattaneo in 2020. From 2019 to 2021, she was a postdoctoral researcher working on innovation in outsourced logistics services, before being appointed as a Tenure-Track Researcher (Rtd-A) in 2021. She currently teaches Logistics Management, Supply Chain Design, and Supply Chain Lab for Business.

Since 2017, she has been the Coordinator of the Logistics Real Estate Observatory (OSIL) at LIUC Business School, conducting in-depth studies on the logistics real estate sector. Through this role, she has collaborated with numerous companies in the logistics and retail sectors (e.g., logistics providers, international freight forwarders, fast-moving consumer goods companies) and real estate professionals (including agencies, developers, and real estate investment management firms). The findings of her research have been disseminated through conferences, industry journal articles (e.g., Logistica), and national media coverage (Il Sole 24 Ore).

She has participated as a researcher and consultant in several projects focused on reviewing logistics and distribution strategies as well as outsourcing processes in logistics.

Her research focuses on logistics outsourcing, logistics real estate, Logistics 4.0, green warehousing, and Warehousing 5.0. Her work has been published in various scientific journals.
