Abstract

Compatibility Equivalence Intervals Fuzzy Inexact measurement
The paper gives a critical analysis of the concepts of compatibility and equivalence between intervals of numbers, and a more general definition for compatibility and equivalence relations between intervals. The concept of compatibility has been formalised by means of a fuzzy relation.
