Abstract

Measurement is a process producing trustworthy information about empirical properties of objects. This paper is devoted to describe why and how the information on the trustworthiness of the value or the values attributed to the property intended to be measured is provided. Some subjects of the paper are: specificity of measured values, meaningfulness and usefulness of measured values, and measurement uncertainty.
