Abstract
In Italy, the datum concerning the antibiotic-resistance registers values that are generally above the European average, with one of the highest healthcare burdens, measured in life years corrected for disabilities. The scope of the phenomenon needs an in-depth reflection, starting from the issue of the use inadequacy of antibiotic medicines, identified as main determinant of the antibiotic-resistance.
