Abstract
Precision medicine/personalized medicine, as well as the progressive spread of NGS tests and the development of new mutation-driven drugs, represent a relevant phenomenon in the evolution of oncology. Taking into Non-Small Cell Lung Cancer (NSCLC), an organizational evaluation of the diagnosis and treatment pathway was conducted in the Italian regions of Lombardy, Piedmont, Veneto, Campania, and Lazio. The paper turns out to be an excellent opportunity to try to think about features necessary for the implementation of the mutation model and the reorganization involved in hospital organizations.
