Abstract
International tensions have made the supply of nitrogen fertilizers for Italian agriculture more fragile. Analyses by Invernizzi AGRI Lab show how dependence on unstable markets affects production costs and farm profitability. In this scenario, digestate produced by domestic biogas and biomethane plants emerges as a concrete lever for reducing exposure to external shocks.
