Abstract
This article is the Italian translation, with IEEE permission, of article: Shervin Shirmohammadi, Luca Mari, and Dario Petri, "On the Commonly-Used Incorrect Visual Representation of Accuracy and Precision", published in the IEEE Instrumentation & Measurement Magazine, Vol. 24, No. 1, Feb 2021, pp. 45-49 and starts a fruitful cooperation between the Magazine and Tutto_Misure. This article discusses how difficult is representing, graphically, some fundamental concepts in metrology, such as accuracy and precision and shows how some seemingly valid representations are actually misleading and do not comply with the VIM and ISO Std. 5725 definitions. The paper proposes and discusses a formally correct representation.
