Abstract
Growing global competition, increasingly interconnected and volatile markets, the risk of
disruptions in supply chains, increased attention to environmental issues, and the digitization of
operations make the integration of artificial intelligence (AI) into operations and supply chain
management (OSCM) essential. To successfully address rapid external changes, organizations
must know how to integrate this technology within their business processes. This thesis examines
the impact of AI on operations and supply chain management processes, highlighting the
opportunities, benefits and challenges associated with its implementation. It also offers guidance
for the adoption of AI in the supply chain and analyzes the main barriers to its full integration. The
findings of this research are relevant to both the academic community and practitioners in the field, providing insights for further study and future applications.
