The evolution of information and communication technologies (ICT), and especially Internet-based ones, provides business networks new opportunities to effectively support the collaboration and management of supply chain activities, by supporting the flow of materials with a more efficient way of communicating and sharing information. Researches in the field tried to address the main adoption criteria and critical success factors of these systems and analyzed the benefits of integration and the dynamic of bargain power in supply chains. However, very few studies focused on the role of IT in the formation and the sustainability of supply chain networks and even fewer studies ICT impacts on business collaborative practices. This paper want to address this issue proving a comprehensive framework for the study of the information flows involved into supply chain collaboration practices.
