Abstract

The evaluation of the metrological performance of the software in intelligent measuring systems (IMS) is discussed. The performance of an IMS can be evaluated according to two different goals and strategies, typically relevant at different stages in the life cycle of an IMS; the evaluation of the general performance of an IMS and the evaluation of an IMS performance for a specific measurement task.
