The aim of this chapter is to provide an overview of the most recent and relevant studies in the growing body of research on innovation in family firms, constituting a ubiquitous form of governance around the world. Moreover, we develop a framework grounded in the search and recombination view of the innovation process with the aim of providing a possible direction to orient future research in this interesting field.
