Abstract
This essay covers the most recent Community regulations in the field of the recognition and enforcement of judgements in civil and commercial matters, with special reference to the EC regulations on the European enforcement Order and on the so called European injunction Order and the "small claims" procedure. The author highlights the shift from the traditional means of the reciprocal recognition of judgements to the complete abolition, in given fields, of any declaration of enforceability. The new techniques and the required conditions in order to achieve this goal are widely examined.
