Abstract
During recent years, the Italian private equity and venture capital market has been characterized by an intense activity, having Italian medium enterprises as the principal target. The issue considered in this Paper is a focus on the characteristics of the deals related to such kind of enterprise, through the reconstruction of meaningful database, which can represent the universe more than a sample. The analysis, conducted to an aggregate level, has underlined some distinguishing features, but also some informations in total accord with the universe of the market, identified with the data supplied from Private Equity Monitor - PEM®.
